The charity “Sandy Bear” offers support to children and young adults suffering from bereavement. Affected people are eligible for support from birth until the age of 25 years.

The project “RuhrArt Moves”, focusing on children and teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds, opens up cultural understanding and enhances children’s self-expression.

Promotion of Exercise for Children and Young People Suffering with Cancer
Via a sports programme for children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer, Uniklinik Essen promotes medical care improvement and the overall wellbeing of the programme’s participants.

Growing Up in a Healthy Manner in Essen – Family-Primary School-Centres
Family-primary school-centres offer a learning, living, and connecting environment for children and their respective families. Project offerings tailored for entire families range from communal cooking sessions to individual parental counselling.

#networkTalents
Project “#networkTalents” is a partnership between schools in Germany, Spain, France, and the Czech Republic, establishing a digital space for the exchange between the respective students in order to foster democratic values.

LearningCentres
The “learningCentres”, which regularly support approx. 200 students from Essen, offer additional learning support in a home-like and familiar environment.

The project “Demokratie und Teilhabe” supports adolescents with immigration experience. Supported is provided via language-sensitive democracy promotion and democracy participation opportunities.

The Project “What are Human Rights and How do They Work, Mr. Bauer?” spreads democratic values and promotes not only Fritz Bauer’s, but the participant’s own stories leading to stronger societal unity.

Working with nurseries, schools, and parental homes, the “Book-Suitcase-Programme” founded by coach@school fosters mathematics, listening, reading, and writing skills in young children.

Through outdoor programmes and individual mentoring sessions, the organisation “Youth Adventure Trust” aims to steer disadvantaged young adolescents aged 11 to 16 from Swindon, Wiltshire, and Somerset towards a path of resilience and independence.

Project “DemocracyTalents” is an empowerment project for socially disadvantaged young adolescents to receive individual support and the subsequent internal drive to act as role models for democratic values.

Over a period of two years via four weekly learning sessions, children who haven’t attend nursery and come from families lacking in and not seeing the importance of education, are helped to enter the schooling system successfully.

Phoenix – Rebuilding Youth Centre Wiebelskirchen
“Phoenix - Rebuilding Youth Centre Wiebelskirchen” supports the rebuilding of the youth centre which recently suffered from severe flooding. In honour of its 25th year anniversary, young visitors are now encouraged to join forces to help rebuild the space reflecting their commitment to the invaluable shared space.
