Support for a professional future
The organisation SOFEA aims to support young people with mental health conditions from the age range of 14 to 25 years in their learning and social skills, so that they obtain better chances of finding a workplace later on. SOFEA’s project “Supporting Vulnerable and Disadvantaged Young People Into the World of Work” offers disadvantaged young people various work experience opportunities in its social value programme. Through this, a personal sense of purpose may be achieved, providing significant thoroughly researched personal benefits from doing something meaningful for others.
Available jobs and internships include training, with opportunities to gain various qualifications, administration and warehouse operations, and “Driver’s mate”, which essentially is the accompaniment of SOFEA’s employed drivers where participants may talk about shared experiences and aspirations.
