Education for a better future

The aim of the “learningCentres” (in German “lernHaus”) is to help children and young adults finish school, so that they may later not only build a life for themselves, but also increase their overall chance of benefitting from a higher education. The learningCentres, led by a vision of “ready for the future”, offer several programmes such as preparational time (homework time), individual tutoring, collective outdoor activities, and a healthy daily lunch. The programmes are provided in a home-like, familiar environment and currently support a total of approx. 200 disadvantaged children from Essen, Germany.
