Individualised online learning support
“Lern-Fair e.V.” offers individualised online learning support to socially disadvantaged pupils whose parents cannot afford tutoring for financial or social reasons. The aim is to improve academic performance, increase the chances of achieving higher educational qualifications, and at the same time boost self-confidence and motivation in students.
The flexible in-app learning platform (progressive web app, directly accessible via phone and web browser) helps to create an effective learning environment and enables the project to reach a large number of students. Primary subjects such as Maths, German, and English, as well as homework support, exam preparation, and the development of specifically tailored revision strategies are just as much a part of the tutoring offer as courses on extracurricular topics, promoting holistic development. All services are made available by a network of volunteers contributing their time and expertise. The project works with schools, youth services, and social organisations as well as utilises digital channels and partnerships to increase its reach and support in underserved areas.
The project aims to help close the educational gap by granting all students, regardless of their socio-economic background, a fair chance to succeed in their education.
