Connected through creativity

Led by the slogan “It’s About Us”, the 16th World Festival of Childrens’ Theatre follows the aim of promoting tolerance, international understanding, and intercultural exchange between children and adolescents. Participants from three continents (Europe, Asia and North America) are brought together in the form of an eight-day-long festival with child theatre groups’ productions making up its core. Children from all over the world get to know each other through different theatre and dance workshops, where they participate in creative and artistic exchanges, and get the opportunity to act and dance together. During the World Festival of Childrens’ Theatre, an international symposium is taking place simultaneously focusing on the festival’s productions’ themes. These will be examined by questioning directors and literary advisers regarding respective aesthetics and methodologies.
